Summary
I recently bought the Newford Waterfall Washed Linen from Tessuti — a denim-blue, yarn-dyed 100% linen — to sew a pair of Miller Trousers, and — as has been the case every single time I've shopped with them, online and in person — the experience was fantastic and the fabric quality was excellent.
I've been shopping at Tessuti for years now and I've genuinely never been disappointed. If you're after quality fabric and don't mind paying a bit more for it, I can't recommend them highly enough.
What They Sell
Tessuti specialises in higher-end fabrics — think beautiful linens, wools, silks and cottons in a colour range that's hard to beat. They also sell their own sewing patterns; I've bought one but haven't made it up yet (you know how it goes).
The fabric I bought — Newford Waterfall Washed Linen — is 140cm wide, 160gsm, and priced at $49 per metre (they sell by the quarter metre, so factor that into your cart).
Browsing Experience
Very easy to shop, whether I'm scrolling the site or browsing in store.
Access & Convenience
Checkout: smooth and simple — and I love that they offer a thread-matching add-on at checkout.
Swatches: didn't use this service on this order, so I can't speak to it yet.
Shipping: $10 for AU orders under $150, free over $150 — dispatched same or next business day, arriving in 2–5 working days.
Customs / GST: GST was applied at checkout, as expected for an Australian order.
Quality vs. Photos
Yes — the fabric matched the photos exactly. Worth knowing: Tessuti themselves note that on-screen colour can vary slightly by monitor, and recommend ordering a swatch first if colour accuracy really matters for your project.
Return / Fault Policy
I haven't personally needed to use this, but Tessuti's policy is clearly stated on their site: no refunds or exchanges once fabric has been cut, on discounted remnants, or on their own patterns. If you're not sure about colour, weight, or handle, order a swatch before you buy — worth knowing upfront rather than after you've cut into something.

Best for: their in-house sewing patterns and haberdashery, if you want to shop it all in one place.
Skip if: you're after novelty or unusual cotton prints — Tessuti leans classic and higher-end rather than quirky.
Would I Use Them Again?
Absolutely. I'd go back to Tessuti any time I'm after a specific fabric like linen ore high end cotton fabrics for a specific project — that colour range keeps pulling me back.
